Although usually geared to graduating students, frequently college placement offices provide service to alumni and alumnae. They may offer a job matching program and limited career counseling, possibly for a modest fee. They may know of local sources such as useful job hunting libraries. Some maintain a network of graduates who will
talk to other graduates. Some distribute a newsletter listing open jobs. An interview with a counselor may help. If you’re impressed with him, you may find he freelances for a modest fee; possibly a useful part-time counselor. If your college is not in your local area, try a local college. It may have reciprocal arrangements or may provide
useful help anyway.
