Secondary recruiters are companies that provide some informal recruiting for their clients. Secondary recruiters are banks, law firms, consultants, trade associations and CPA firms. For example, the lending department of a bank may have a few client companies that are looking for a key person so the bank may provide an introduction. Venture capitalists can be particularly useful as they often take a much more active role in their client companies and
often advise the management on functional areas that need to be strengthened.
