Senior Executives on the Web

Executives aren’t traditionally noted for their practical tech skills. In fact, it’s a good bet that a fair percentage of Fortune 500 chieftains had no idea how to open or send an e-mail before about 1998. And,
because of many more pressing commitments, few have had the time to develop mature Web skills, even today.
But ironically, it’s much easier to find executives on the Web than any other kind of candidate, including technical workers who spend every waking hour surfing and chatting online. That’s because executives live
their professional lives outside the firewall—they are “public” candidates.
