Here Is Job Description:

  • Salary: £38000 - £40000 Per Annum
     

Role Requirements & Key Responsibilities

  • Implement effective site maintenance plan ensuring all legislative requirements & practices are in-line with industry best practice
  • Prepare & adhere to agreed financial budgets for all site related facility management activities
  • Establish effective supplier & internal stakeholder relationships in facilities management
  • Develop effective cost reduction strategies for energy & utilities usage across the site
  • Develop & implement effective Corporate Social Responsibility and site sustainability strategy
  • Manage cleaning team to ensure the highest levels of hygiene and site cleanliness are consistently achieved.
  • Create management performance reporting for all aspects of facilities management
  • Contribute to site contingency planning and incident management plan requirements
  • Develop detailed specifications for the procurement of facilities supplies & services
  • Develop and maintain effective site security strategy
  • Carry out specified routine maintenance and minor repairs
  • Establish effective waste reduction & recycling strategy and coordinate all routine & non-routine waste removal
  • Establish and enforce effective contractor H&S controls and risk management processes
  • Analyse site performance trends to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Attend daily operational review meetings, updating Department Managers with accurate, relevant information to enable the DC to meet its business targets

People & Communication:

  • Skilfully motivate and influence managers across the site to maintain agreed standards and achieve business goals
  • Act as a role model as part of the operational management team by being personally accountable for setting high standards of behaviour on site and ensuring these are demonstrated at all times
  • Set clear direction and accountability in delivering operational objectives and carry out regular performance reviews to ensure all direct reports are fully aware of their responsibilities & accountabilities
  • Ensure accurate and relevant people processes are carried out in a timely manner e.g. appraisals, return to work, investigations, grievances and disciplinary hearings Health, Safety, Environment & Security
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to ethics, compliance and the Group Business Conduct Guidelines for all operations, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements including but not limited to Health & Safety, security, environmental.

Professional qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience 

  • Previous experience in facilities management within large scale distribution or manufacturing environments
  • Industry recognised apprenticeship or HNC/HND in mechanical or electrical engineering and ideally BIFM qualified to level
  • Sound understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation & regulations
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Proven ability to adapt and change rapidl
  • Sound financial understanding / experience, strict cost control disciplin
  • Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skill
